Analyze Cuts
Detect visual cut points in the video and show them on the subtitle timeline.
macOS subtitle editor
Generate captions with local Whisper, detect scene cuts, refine subtitle timing, and export for Final Cut Pro from one focused macOS workflow.
Most AI caption tools stop after transcription. SceneCaption Studio keeps the real editing work in view: fixing text, shaping line breaks, splitting captions, adjusting timing, and aligning subtitles around scene changes.
Compose
Import media, transcribe with a local model, then refine generated cues immediately. Split, merge, remove, and adjust start or end points with keyboard-first timing controls.
Text Document
Before turning a transcript into caption blocks, refine the text in a document-style editor. Add line breaks to shape subtitle segments, control how many lines each caption uses, clean up spelling, and make the generated transcript read naturally before you compose it into timed cues.

Scene-aware timing
Automatic scene cut analysis finds visual edit points and lets you snap cue starts and ends near those cuts. With the timing editor, use Shift + D and Shift + F to snap subtitles to detected cut points, or use Shift + A and Shift + S to set the selected subtitle's start and end timing exactly where you want.

Snap cue starts and ends to nearby scene cuts within your selected frame range.
Use Shift+A and Shift+S to set start and end timing, then Shift+D and Shift+F to snap captions to analyzed scene cuts.
